The Hydrade (@) sports drink produced by Hydrade Beverage of Dallas, USA, is packaged by Kapak Inc. and used a QuadPAK (@) upright pouch, which was first put into commercial use. The pouch also includes a Smart Spout (@) re-sealable device from Seaquist Closures. There are four display surfaces for this package. There are only two sides of the common soft bag. Pouchstock is a composite structure of polyester, foil, nylon, and polyethylene. It is a bright electro-optic color. Hydrade, Kapak and Seaquist have partnered with Hensen Packaging Concepts of Germany. The German company developed a nozzle inserter and a high-speed continuously-operated filler installed in contractor Jel Sert of West Chicago, Illinois. This device can fill 500 ml sachets at a rate of 250/min. The injection molding device on the nozzle allows the pouch to slide onto parallel rails on both sides of the equipment assembly. In this way, the flexible packaging can be passed through the assembly and the filling line by means of rails, and the packaging can also be displayed on a similar track at the point of purchase.

This ready-to-drink beverage contains the active ingredient glycerin, which prevents dehydration before or during exercise, and accelerates the hydration process after physical activity. This product idea was born during the war years.
